Katia began her career at Mabuhay Capital Corporation, a boutique investment house providing financial advisory services across mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and other strategic transactions. She later joined Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant, where she worked on due diligence engagements for private equity firms and supported clients in solving complex business and strategic challenges. Across both roles, she gained exposure to a diverse range of industries, including telecommunications, power and energy, food and beverage, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, and other sectors.

At Foxmont, Katia draws on her experience in investment banking, private equity due diligence, and strategy consulting to support the firm’s investment and portfolio efforts. Her analytical approach, coupled with her experience working across different industries and business models, allows her to evaluate opportunities from both a financial and strategic perspective while supporting companies through different stages of growth.

Education and Inspiration

Katia graduated from Assumption College San Lorenzo before earning her Bachelor of Science in Management from Ateneo de Manila University.

Her academic background in management, together with her early exposure to finance, strategy, and investing, helped shape her interest in understanding how businesses grow, navigate complex decisions, and create long-term value. These experiences continue to inform the structured and thoughtful approach she brings to her work.

Passions Beyond Business

Outside of work, Katia spends much of her time reading and, occasionally, writing. She also tends to find herself immersed in a sport at any given time. A longtime tennis player, she was previously part of the Ateneo Women’s Tennis Team.

More recently, she has taken up figure skating, a new pursuit that has challenged her to step outside her comfort zone and learn something entirely different. Whether through books, writing, or sport, Katia enjoys finding new ways to stay curious, keep learning, and challenge herself.
