Jesse Maxwell is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of building and scaling businesses and non-profit organizations across sectors. He began his entrepreneurial journey as the founder and CEO of Careline Services, Inc., a healthcare staffing company based in New York City. Upon moving back to the Philippines, Jesse took the helm at Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics (MSL), where he now oversees a variety of operations. Additionally, he co-founded and serves as director of Grab Philippines, one of Southeast Asia's leading ride-hailing and logistics platforms. As Foxmont’s Founding Partner, he draws on his rich experience to identify, guide, and scale the next generation of Filipino business leaders.
Education and Inspiration
Jesse earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 2011, building on his B.A. in Economics from Trinity College, Hartford CT. His education provided him the foundation to navigate complex challenges. However, academic formation is only part of the equation; it must be refined through real-world experience. By founding and scaling businesses, and confronting both success and failure, Jesse built the resilience and leadership style that define his approach today.
Passions Beyond Business
When he's not leading businesses, Jesse dedicates himself to social and environmental advocacy. Since co-founding MovEd.org in 2012, he has helped provide early childhood education to over 600 students in underserved communities and now serves as the organization’s President. He also leads efforts in the WWF Next Generation Council’s Ayoko ng Plastic campaign, driving critical initiatives to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainability across the Philippines. Outside of his civic work, Jesse enjoys scuba diving and staying active through tennis, squash, soccer, and golf.
